The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. The blended training format provides students the flexibility to complete a significant portion of the course in an eLearning environment prior to arriving to the classroom and range session with an NRA Certified Instructor. When you register for this blended course, you will create an account on the NRA's website. The instructor will then provide you a "Course Control Code" and instructions on how to complete the self-study portion of the course prior to class date.

- Handgun chambered in 9mm, .45cal, 40S&W, 10mm (recommend striker fire-type handgun, e.g. Glock)
- 50 rounds ammunition (Can be purchased from Instructor)

After registering for this course, students will be sent instructions how to complete phase I. On the scheduled live-fire range day, you will be required to bring your certificate displaying successful completion of phase I. STUDENTS WHO DO NOT BRING THEIR CERIFICATE CANNOT PROCEED TO PHASE II OF THE COURSE.
