Course Description:

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course covers basic fundamental knowledge of handguns, firearms safety, general handling and operation, loading and unloading techniques. Upon completion of the classroom instruction, students will participate in a basic live fire session. To maximize training efficiency students will be subjected to one-on-one training instruction.

  • Handgun chambered in 9mm, .45cal, 40S&W, 10mm (recommend striker fire-type handgun, i.e. Glock)
  • Protective eye wear (Ballistic)
  • Ear Protection
  • “Duty Belt” (i.e. 1.5” nylon belt that holds holster, magazine pouches, etc.)
  • 100 rounds of ammunition (Can be purchased from Instructor)
  • 2-3 Magazines
  • Pistol rentals available for $15.00
